Getting to Mijas Costa by car
Mijas Costa is very well connected via the Mediterranean Highway (A-7) and the AP-7 toll highway, which facilitate access from Málaga and other Costa del Sol towns. From Málaga-Costa del Sol International Airport, the distance is approximately 30 km, which is about 25 minutes by car.
Mijas Costa is about 35 km from Málaga city, about 105 km from Granada, 215 km from Seville and approximately 540 km from Madrid.
Getting to Mijas Costa by plane
The nearest airport to Mijas Costa is Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP), about 30 km away. It’s connected to major European cities, with both regular and low-cost airlines.
From there, you can reach Mijas Costa by car or taxi (about 25 minutes), by VTC service, or by Cercanías C-1 train with a frequency of every 20 minutes and a price of €3 to Fuengirola, and then continue by bus or taxi to Mijas Costa.
Getting to Mijas Costa by train
Mijas Costa doesn’t have its own train station, the best option to arrive by train is to go to Fuengirola, located about 5-10 minutes by car or taxi from Mijas Costa.

- Barcelona: AVE 5 hours 45 minutes, 60 and 150€.
- Seville: AVE 2h, 30/70€.

Upon arrival at Málaga María Zambrano station, take the C-1 line to Fuengirola.
Arriving at Mijas Costa by boat
Mijas Costa does not have its own port for large vessels or ferries, but it can be reached by sea through nearby marinas, such as the Port of Fuengirola, located about 5-10 minutes by car, or the Marina of Benalmádena, which is a bit further but well-connected.
These ports receive private boats, yachts, and some tourist services, although there are no regular ferry lines from other Spanish cities.
