S\u00ed, est\u00e1s leyendo bien, no es un castillo medieval, sino una construcci\u00f3n moderna, iniciada en 1987. Tras siete a\u00f1os de trabajo, este monumento a Crist\u00f3bal Col\u00f3n estaba listo para recibir visitantes. Los materiales utilizados fueron ladrillo, piedra y cemento, nada m\u00e1s. Con cabezas de caballos, escudos, imagenes de santos y \u00e1ngeles, las tres naves utilizadas por Col\u00f3n en su viaje (la Ni\u00f1a, la Pinta y la Santa Mar\u00eda) y muchos m\u00e1s elementos ic\u00f3nicos, es un conjunto muy interesante y un plan diferente para hacer en Benalm\u00e1dena.
